Obaid Khaleefa Jaber, Chairman of Al Jaber Group and owner of Media One Tower in Media City today welcomed Majid Al Marri, DTCM Director of Hotel Classification Department, to mark the official ranking of the upscale four-star hotel, according to a company news release.
The Media One Hotel, which has been designed with the savvy business traveller in mind, will begin welcoming its first guests today as the DTCM visit also signals the hotel’s soft opening.
Speaking about the hotel’s opening, Obaid Khaleefa Jaber said: “This is a very special day for all of us. We have been eager to open the hotel for some time now and it is wonderful to be able to do so today as we officially receive the star rating plaque from our colleagues at DTCM.”

The hotel occupies the first 23 floors of a 43 story tower and in addition to the 260 guest rooms and food and beverage outlets, offers a gym, outdoor pool and terrace. It also houses a fully equipped business centre, seven meeting rooms, a selection of retail outlets, a spacious lobby, and ample parking. The additional 20 floors of the Media One building are taken up by executive office space.
