Turkish Airlines (THY) is now offering passengers residing in Turkey the opportunity to apply for UAE visas at Turkish Airlines sales offices and authorized sales agents in Turkey prior to travelling.
Turkish Airlines will arrange for electronic visas for those travelling to either Abu Dhabi or Dubai for a US $85 (AED 312) fee. Visas should be applied for 5 days prior to travel and are valid for 30 days from the issue date. Requirements for this service are in-person application and a passport with minimum of six-month validity.
“We are pleased to be strengthening the ties between the UAE and Turkey with this valuable service for our Turkish resident customers. We hope to achieve increased travel to the UAE, help accommodate the needs of our ever-growing customer base and simultaneously address any long-term issues that limit travel across the globe,” said Adil Hamade, Turkish Airlines UAE and Sri Lanka Director.
Turkish Airlines currently operates four flights per week from Istanbul Ataturk Airport to Abu Dhabi International Airport, and twice-daily flights from Istanbul Ataturk Airport and Dubai International.
Turkey’s national flag carrier has seen a steady increase in demand for flights between the UAE and Turkey, particularly as the business and tourism relationship between the two countries continues to flourish.
