VLCC and Arabian Center Mall in Mirdiff join hands to ‘Pledge to Good Health’

VLCC, Middle East’s premiere beauty, scientific slimming and preventive healthcare brand, with Arabian Center, announced the launch of a six-month long campaign to ‘Pledge to good health’ today. Inaugurating the pledge and launching the campaign was Nabil Al Busaidi, the first Arab to have walked to the North Pole in an expedition covering more than 350 nautical miles.

The ‘Pledge to Good Health’ campaign will run at Arabian Center Mall in Mirdiff for 6 months, starting today, providing mall visitors various options of health assessment and encouraging overall well-being by VLCC experts.

None other than Nabil Al Busaidi has been chosen to launch the Pledge for Good Health campaign as an apt ambassador to the cause of good health and fitness. An Omani national and a resident of Bahrain, Nabil has made the Arab world proud with his achievements. His tremendous adventure through heavy snow, sea ice and arctic islands has given Nabil the fond title of Sultan of Snow.

During this six-month long campaign, mall visitors will have the chance to get complimentary check ups at VLCC’s health assessment stands, receive dietary recommendations and simple lifestyle tips from experts and participate in a daily mall walk supervised by VLCC. A health bazaar area will also be created at Arabian Center, where mall tenants will showcase their exercise gear and equipments. The tenants of the food court will offer their green health menu which includes low fat and sugar free nourishment.

At the health assessment stand people will be able to discuss obesity related concerns and get guidance and advice from VLCC’s weight management experts.

This initiative is another step taken by VLCC to further their commitment towards healthy living and eradication of obesity. Nine years ago, VLCC took the first step to put up a united fight against the surge of obesity. VLCC continues this passion to this day creating awareness among the community on obesity and related diseases as well as promoting healthy life and active living.

With the pledge ceremony, VLCC and Arabian Center together with Nabil Al Busaidi hope to take a bold step towards the overall well being for the community of the UAE.
