Al Rostamani International Exchange (ARIE), member of the reputed Al Rostamani Group and leading provider of foreign exchange services in the UAE has been awarded the coveted Dubai Human Development Award (DHDA) for the Banking and Financial Sector for the 2009 cycle.
The award was presented by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, at the prestigious Dubai Quality Appreciation Awards Ceremony held at Grand Hyatt Ballroom on 7th April 2010. The Business Excellence Awards was established to honour organizations that have made commendable contributions to raising the bar of creativity and business excellence in the UAE. Honours made include the Dubai Quality Award (DQA), Dubai Human Development Award (DHDA) and the Dubai Service Excellence Scheme (DSES).
Commenting on this honour, Mr. Marwan Abdullah Al Rostamani, Chairman of the Al Rostamani Group said: “We are delighted to have won the Human Development award this year, in addition to having won the Dubai Quality Appreciation Program award last year. It is especially important to us as it recognizes our constant efforts to provide employees with the training and development necessary to enhance their skills and increase proficiency, both on and off the job.”
Strongly committed to serving the local community and developing Emirati talent, Al Rostamani Group hired 62 UAE Nationals in 2009 as part of its Emiratization programme. It has also developed and implemented a rigorous training and development plan to prepare UAE nationals. This plan includes specialized courses covering areas such as English language training, customer service, as well as education sponsorship schemes offering university students with career opportunities as they continue with their education.
The Group is reputed for the implementation of its shadowing scheme, where junior staff work alongside senior staff for a specified period, followed by a re-evaluation of their experience and time spent shadowing. This year, Al Rostamani Group once again actively participated in the UAE Careers Fair, engaging with talented UAE nationals from all fields.
