D-Link Middle East, the end-to-end computer network solutions provider for consumers and businesses, today introduced a powerful Wi-Fi N addition to its portable and lightweight multi-function pocket router family for wireless access on the fly.
The D-Link® Wireless N Pocket Router/Access Point (DAP-1350) with multi-mode functionality can be used as a wireless router to create an 802.11n Wi-Fi network or as an access point to add Wi-Fi to an existing wired network for connectivity on the go. The device can also be used to connect an Ethernet-ready device, such as a desktop PC or Xbox 360®, to a Wi-Fi network for increased flexibility and convenience.
Lightweight and compact with its own travel case, the DAP-1350 is small enough to carry while traveling and sets up easily to share an Internet connection or add Wi-Fi to an existing wired network in a conference room, hotel room or anywhere a Wi-Fi network is needed. When operating in wireless client mode, the router supports Power over USB to use a PC to power the device if a power outlet is not accessible.

The D-Link Wireless N Pocket Router/Access Point is equipped with multiple intelligent antennas to maximize the speed and range of the wireless signals to significantly outperform previous-generation Wireless G devices. These internal antennas also serve to bounce wireless signals off walls and ceilings to work around obstacles and help eliminate dead spots. Wi-Fi N is capable of transmitting data up to 5-times faster than G at farther distances*.
The DAP-1350 delivers powerful 802.11n performance and offers the latest wireless security features to help prevent unauthorized access. It supports WPA and WPA2 to offer the best possible encryption regardless of client devices. It is equipped with a simple WPS push button to easily add devices and secure the network. Additionally, it includes SharePort™ Technology, which allows sharing of a USB printer or storage when in router mode.
