The Director of Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep’t at RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector Peyman Younes Parham, who clinched the Best PR Employee Award in the Middle East, said that MEPRA presented 12 Awards comprising two major categories; The Corporate Awards (10 Awards) and the Individual Awards (2 Awards) adding that 44 public & private firms across the Middle East had vied for winning these accolades.
Commenting on the underlying reason for winning the Award Peyman said: “Winning this Award is attributed to four key factors, the first of which is the comprehensive ad campaign of Dubai Metro; which thanks God created massive impact worldwide. The second factor is maintaining a constant communication with the media in covering all RTA events & activities in coordination with Arab Media Group. The third factor is the emphasis placed on running online marketing campaigns, including Face Book and YouTube, and the fourth one is targeting special communities such as the Subcontinent (Malayalam)”.
Peyman added: “The Best Public Relations Employee (Communicator of the Year) Award is considered the best among the Awards to the winners as it witnessed competitive submissions from 12 employees hailing from the UK, Lebanon and the UAE. Winning this Award is the first occurrence ever at the individual level for Dubai-based Departments and organizations; which in turn reflects the success of government authorities in PR field and that they have highly competent and productive professionals”.
“I do not have the essential ingredients in the PR business, however, the unwavering encouragement and unlimited support of H.E. the Chairman of the Board & Executive Director of the RTA was instrumental in capturing the requisite skills and raising the bar for the PR conduct, besides the direct contact with specialists who have practical experience in the PR field” said the Director of RTA Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep’t. Peyman hoped that the Award would not be the last for Emiratis, and cited the need to target them annually with the aim of raising the profile of Dubai in the PR field, and highlighting the importance of PR in establishing communication between employees and customers.
Big companies have applied for this coveted prize such as Hill and Dalton, MS & L, Jumeirah Group, and Al Bustan Rotana, said Peyman in a concluding remark.
