Seatrade, one of the world’s leading maritime events organisers, has appointed Emma Hamilton as Marketing Manager Middle East Events.
Emma joins the brand, which is well established in the international cruise and maritime community and boasts a portfolio of publications, events, management training, award schemes and websites.
Under her new role, Emma will look after the marketing for key Middle East events which include the upcoming Seatrade Middle East Maritime (SMEM) exhibition and conference; the industry’s glittering awards ceremony – Seatrade Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards; Middle East WorkBoats; World Ports and Trades Summit and the Seatrade Academy.
With a strong marketing and PR background, Emma began her career in the Gulf as a journalist on the launch issue of The Gulf Today in 1996. She worked as the business editor on the newspaper until 1998, before moving into a career in marketing and PR with several of the region’s top agencies working with high-end global clients.
In 2004, Emma moved in-house to work with Aston Martin, responsible for some of the luxury marque’s most memorable launches and events in the region. She also launched the luxury boat brand Fairline in the Middle East and her relationship with Fairline continued as she took on the role of events, PR and retail manager for the brand across Europe and the USA, ending her 12-year residence in the UAE.
